Candy Kingdom Defense Tier List

Choose a hero for the job your team needs to do. These are community recommendations by use, not measured combat rankings.

How to read these recommendations

Use-case priorities come from community guides reviewed October 24. Rarity stars alone do not show performance. Base and evolved forms are separate entries, and videos may include levels, traits and stat grades that your hero does not have.

“First choice” means a practical opening investment; “Specialist” means useful for a particular problem. There is no controlled, same-level test behind these labels.

First choice

Opening the campaign

Jake; Finn is a workable alternative

Community guides favor Jake for his low deployment cost and later area attack. Both appear as three-star starters in the recorded selection screen.

Start with the hero you own. Build a dependable opener before chasing a rare summon.

High priority

Clearing crowded waves

Alien Jake, King BMO

Community showcases recommend Alien Jake for crowd control and King BMO for broad coverage. They are evolution projects, rather than starting heroes.

Check the recipe and its material stage before committing resources.

Specialist

Defeating a durable boss

Marceline Beast

Community rankings identify this evolved form as a boss specialist. A high showcase hit is not a guaranteed damage value for your own hero.

Prioritize this project when you own Marceline and bosses are your main obstacle.

Longer-term

Developing a late-game roster

Candy Elemental Bubblegum, Jake the Lich, Magic Man

Community lists rate their area coverage or control highly. Their availability and resource requirements make them later goals.

Keep your campaign team progressing while you work toward one specialist.

Disputed picks

Billy, Lemongrab, Prism Queen Rainicorn and King Man receive conflicting community ratings. Keep useful units you already own; compare attack coverage and your current failure point before replacing them.

King Man’s complete recipe is not documented in this database. A large hit shown in a video is not enough evidence to recommend that evolution to every player.
