Game Code Finder Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Game Code Finder is a Chrome extension developed by GamesDataHub. This policy covers the extension. The GamesDataHub website privacy policy covers visits to the website, including pages you choose to open from the extension. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
What the extension does on your device
When you open Game Code Finder, Chrome's activeTab permission lets it read the current tab's URL. If that URL is a supported Roblox game page, the extension extracts its Place ID and matches it to a game in its local database. Game-name searches, Code display and copying Codes are also handled locally. The extension does not read page contents, Roblox account details, passwords, cookies, chat messages or browsing history.
The extension stores its public game-code database, the active data version and update status in chrome.storage.local. It does not send the current tab URL, Place ID, search terms or copied Codes to GamesDataHub or an advertising service. We use access granted to the extension only to provide its game-code lookup feature, not to build profiles or target ads.
Update requests
On installation and about once a day, or when you use the refresh button, the extension requests https://gamesdatahub.com/extension/version.json. It downloads a new public JSON data package from the same domain only if the data version has changed. These requests do not include the current game, your search terms or a unique installation ID. The extension does not send website cookies with these update requests.
Cloudflare hosts the data files and may process standard request information, such as IP address, requested file URL, time and browser information, to deliver and protect them. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. GamesDataHub does not use these requests to create an extension-user profile.
Ads, analytics and links
The extension does not display ads or load analytics or advertising scripts. It does not share data accessed through its permissions for advertising. If you choose a link to a GamesDataHub Codes page, your browser visits the website, where the website privacy policy applies. The website may introduce ads later; its policy will describe the provider and data practices before ads are enabled. Links to other websites are governed by those sites' own policies.
Your choices and changes
You can use saved Codes without opening a website, choose whether to open external links, or remove the extension through Chrome. To ask about this policy, contact [email protected]. We will update this page and its date if the extension's data handling changes.
